Tap and correction history (0)
Undo removes the most recently recorded tap, not the fastest or last displayed row. Corrections preserve the original tap time.
How interruption and recovery work
The active timer uses performance.now(), never the system clock. A hidden page or an observed update gap over 2.5 seconds freezes it at the last observed time. This intentionally avoids guessing what happened during sleep. The gap detector cannot detect every clock or device issue.
Resuming is explicit and excludes the interrupted interval. If continuous elapsed time matters, verify each finish against a backup stopwatch and use manual corrections. A recovered JSON or browser snapshot always opens paused, with a review warning; time while closed is never added.
Save and export before clearing browser storage, moving the app folder, or closing a private browsing window. Recovery is best-effort, device/browser-specific, unencrypted, and may be unavailable for local files. Real-device accuracy, sleep behavior, mobile ergonomics, and assistive-technology behavior have not been verified in this beta.
Free beta, privacy and limits
No account. No charge. This beta has no login or billing. Up to 30 bibs, one timer, 24 hours, 2,000 audit entries and 2 MiB imported JSON. These are implementation limits, not paid quotas. Paused or interrupted time is excluded. No official placing, certification, precision guarantee or reconstructed time while closed.
Your inputs are processed locally, not uploaded by this app. When hosted, the hosting provider receives normal access logs for page and asset requests, such as your IP address, request time and browser information. No app analytics or tracking scripts are included. Choosing the ModuCove home link leaves this app and makes a request to that website.
Recovery snapshots use this browser’s local storage when available; they are unencrypted and best-effort. Use one tab at a time. JSON backups include corrections and removed taps; CSV includes current results. Downloads are unencrypted. Clear session removes this app’s recovery snapshot, not files already downloaded. Keep a separate backup stopwatch.
Browser rendering, native downloads, keyboard and screen-reader behavior still require real-browser checks. Review outputs before relying on or sharing them.
